SHOW TIME! With cooler weather, the show cars come out. All special events in October are car shows. Heres a couple:
Hoot N Scoot, Sayre OklahomaPhillip Willsie at Sayre Auto Parts hosted a car show last year in conjunction with this annual street festival. Its quite an event, with a good turnout of quality show and street cars.
This year its September 30
Bryans Old Rip Car Show is one of the biggest shows in North Central Texas. This year is the 20th anniversary of a first-class event. October 7, Eastland TX www.ebryans.com
These are great car shows, with local Parts Plus jobbers as the major sponsors. Good PR from these events lasts all year long. If you get a chance, check in on them, then come home and plan your own for next year.

Clevite now offers .009 and .011, as well as .019 and .021 undersize bearings for Chevrolet small-block racing applications. These are offered so that professional engine builders can fine tune their clearances.
Diesel Additives Labeling All diesel additives sold at retail after June 1, 2006, must be compatible with the new low-sulphur diesel fuels coming in the next few months. Non-compliant products include those which have a higher sulphur content than the new fuel. WM sells several products in Berryman, Sea Foam, and other lines which require this labeling. If you have any of those products, they need to be labeled immediately or you risk the wrath (and penalties) of the EPA. The manufacturers have provided us with labels. If you have not done this, please contact WM immediately for a label set.

JCONBarcode scanners
Your Dell-based (Gray case) JCON will support a barcode scanner on your existing terminals. The scanner connects to the keyboard in seconds. Anything WM sells that has a barcode on it can then be scanned, and the line item pops onto your on-screen invoice. You can even add non-WM barcodes, such as hardware items. This technology is available now, as several of our customers know. All new WM company stores are equipped with scanners. They work.
What does it take? $375 buys the first scanner and the required software & Licensing. Additional scanners are $250. There is a monthly charge of $12 per store to get BarCode Expert, which gives you barcode data updates.
To use BarCode Expert, you must use Expanded JIF, a one-time operation which doubles the max number of parts you can have in your inventory file. Your WM JCON Support staff will answer any questions and get you set up to scan.
AconneX, the Internet ConnectionMost of our 100-Plus JCON customers are now connected through AconneX, which essentially replaces the telephone dial-up connection with a fast internet connection. This makes Warehouse Inquiries virtually instantaneous, with no busy signals nor disconnects. Large data updates take seconds, and support service becomes quicker. All new JCON installations require AconneX.
If your JCON is still on a dial-up modem, we urge you to move up to AconneX
Dexron VI ATF is for 2006 and later GM cars and trucks. Designed for 6-speed automatics, may eventually be specified for all GM transmissions.
GM also recommends Dexron VI as service fill for existing vehicles, and has discontinued licensing Dexron III. We stock it as PNZ 5069376, 6 qts/case. Full synthetic, priced accordingly.
XIG WT5058X has been added to our Prestige line of value-priced electrical parts. This is a water temp sensor for late model applications which specify BW WT5058. We sell a lot of these in BW, the XIG is almost half the cost.
