Business has been great, so It's that time again. We have secured a building in the South Side of Fort Worth to be the new consolidated distribution
center. At over 100,000 square feet, it is bigger than Dallas & Fort Worth warehouses combined. In addition, there are offices and meeting space in a
separate building.
Besides the space to stretch out, we will be able to unload incoming freight at one end and ship out orders from the other. A full conveyor system and more efficient handling will help us fill your orders more completely, more accurately, and more quickly. The additional room will allow us to add inventory and product lines that we just cannot accommodate in our current locations. We hope to be in by October 1, 2008.
This will be the biggest move this company has ever undertaken. We will do our best do minimize any disruption. Our goal is to provide ever better service to you. We promise to live up to that commitment.

June "Wheel Deals' Sale is complete. By most accounts it worked to drive customers to your store. While it is fresh in your mind, please give us some feedback on the results at your store. JCON users should run Option 11.8.3 Promo report to assess the results. Please share those reports with us so we can do better next time.
Repair America Sweepstakes kicked off the first of June. You should be about halfway through the scratch-off cards. If not, consider adjusting your qualifying order amount accordingly for the 2nd month. Encourage your customers to register online as well. Some unlisted prizes (jackets) are awarded only to online entries. The program ends July 31. An earlier bulletin incorrectly showed it to end in August.
Tool & Equipment 3rd Quarter sale flyer is going out this week. Look for new stock items in KD Tools, Legacy air hose, & Performance Tools.
Special Events-Currently there are 44 events either completed or scheduled for 2008. Based on last year, there should be another dozen that are not yet on the calendar. If you intend to have a Farm Sale, tool sale, car show, Customer Appreciation Day or anything similar, let us know so we can support your event.
Gil Gunn from ADN/Parts Plus headquarters has spent a few days in our area to help promote Parts Plus Car Care Center. We have the best dealer program in the automotive aftermarket, and Gil wanted to visit our jobbers to find ways to make it work for you. We ordered a starter stock of these to offer in our Tool & Equipment traveling road show, on a trial basis. The trial is working well-so well, in fact, that we can't keep it on the shelf! The Kawasaki power tools are a step above the price lines, and priced a step below the industrial daily-use tools, so it's right in our "sweet spot". Enviro-Flo Gas Cans -We are in the process of transitioning our Blitz (CARB) compliant gas cans to the new Blitz "Enviro-Flo" cans. Enviro-Flo containers meet all CARB and EPA requirements. The big difference is in the improved spout, designed with a shut-off lever and a new "SEE-Thru" design to let you see fuel level, all at a better price. We will also stock the Enviro-Flo replacement spout.
Valvoline Synpower 0W-20 is recommended for use in most hybrid vehicles, including Prius, Camry, Solara, Highlander, and most toyota SUVs. 0W is basically the thickness of water, but it helps them get the fuel mileage numbers they want to advertise. VLV 916

ATP - New filter boxes show the correct additive-Red, blue, or white-to make Dextron ATF compatible with the car. The filter wall chart shows the correct fluid, and the ATP additive to get there. There are 37 possible fluid types now. You can cover 16 of those with 3 ATP additives.
ATP Service Department Alert lists all the cars that have cabin air filters on a single page. The reverse side covers trucks & SUVs. Good quick reference for a service writer.
